Things have settled down a lot at the Russin house this month. Bathroom construction is complete and with summer ending the excitement of travel and visitors has also ended. Cordelia had Grandpa and Grandma Powers watch her over Labor Day weekend while Tim and Alicia went to a Jack Russell Dog show. Corrie did great and everyone had a fun time.
With summer ending, the school year activities have begun. Alicia is doing MOPS as well as a weekly study at the church. MOPS is a group for mothers with young children and Alicia is looking forward to starting some play dates with other moms/babies. So far there have only been three meetings but it is a good group of ladies and Alicia is looking forward to getting to know them more. Cordelia has no difficulties getting watched by others while Alicia participates in the various groups.
Tim’s work is increasingly more busy. He is now responsible for the integration of the second prototype tool and has been doing a lot of testing. He is enjoying the challenges of his job and also the rewards of his hard work.
Cordelia is making great development this month. She is now able to sit by herself for short periods of time, although she still enjoys other positions much more. She has also started working on her crawling. She is now strong enough to stabilize herself on hands-and-knees and pushes off her knees into a face-plant. She has also been working on her army-crawl and is getting pretty quick at that, check out the video. She also is starting solid foods and got her first rice cereal meal, there’s a video of that too!
We are thankful for the love and support we receive from our family and friends. We are also thankful for good health and the excitements of seeing Cordelia developing. Alicia is appreciating the chance to get involved with various groups and have some adult conversations with other ladies. Pray that Tim’s work continues to go well and that Alicia is able to make some good friendships with these new moms.
