November 2017

A belated Happy Thanksgiving to all, the close of another year is almost upon us. At the beginning of the month Tim and Cordelia made their annual pumpkin pie from scratch. We also closed on our new house, although we’re not moving in until January. We enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday with the Russin clan in Arizona and stayed with Mimi and Papa in their new house. We had a great time visiting with everyone and it was great to see the kids playing with their cousins.
Cordelia had a couple play dates this month with girls from her preschool. We are glad she is making new friends. She loves wearing dresses and playing dress up. She had a fun time playing with her cousin Amelia, doing dress up while in Tucson. She also played with her older boy cousins, climbing trees and riding scooters.
Anthony somehow continues to expand his speech. He now talks in full sentences and is very interactive. Unfortunately he does not have new friends like Cordelia, but he still has a great time going to parks, the library, and playing with his sister. At Thanksgiving he played a little bit with his cousins, but he’s still a little young and seems to enjoy solitary play.
Alicia is doing well at work. She’s contributing to her main project and helping take some of the work load off her co-workers. She’s also continuing to manage the student project she’s in charge of. It has been a good learning experience in how to manage a project and all of the complexities that are involved. She is enjoying getting to use her project management skills.
Tim continues to be productive at work, making some good contributions to his project. Overall he is really enjoying his new position. Outside of work Tim and Cordelia have enjoyed playing Kirby and other video games.
Tim and Alicia enjoyed some socialization with Alicia’s high school friend as well as a dinner out with their former co-workers in San Diego.
We have been attending a new church out near our new home and it seems to be pretty good so far.
As we head into the final month of the year we look forward to spending as much family time together as possible.  We’ll also be transitioning to a new nanny at the end of the month who will be coming on full time once we move to Poway.
Wishing you all a happy holiday season.
