February 2015

Not much to report this month. Things are continuing to go on and Cordelia continues her development. She can now walk several feet before falling over or sitting down. She also has learned to push into a stand without the use of another object. Corrie can clap, which is also her sign for “more” when she wants food. We all came down with another round of the cold this month, but fortunately we are all recovered now. It did mess up Cordelia’s naps for a few days due to her congestion. We took advantage of the opportunity though and went on a trip out to Point Reyes – about 2 hrs away – so that Corrie could nap in an upright position. So she got her first experience with the beach and water.ย

This month on the house we got 90% finished with the after-math of the floor remodel. We spent about a week redoing the drywall in a section where we had taken out a wall. The house feels so much better without the wall. Only one bedroom left of molding to go.

Alicia is staying connected in the various groups. Between two bible studies and two moms groups the days stay active. In the midst of that Alicia makes sure to have some quothome daysquot during the week to give Cordelia a calmer environment and focus on the various house duties. Alicia is very thankful for the groups and the ability to connect with more moms.

Tim continues to have a full slate at work. With high critical testing he has been going into work on the weekends for a few hours to keep the testing on schedule. Although he has many demands at work Tim is making a focused effort to not stay late so that we can enjoy evening family time.

We are thankful for the connections we have made up here and the opportunity we have to spend time together. We are planning a baby-sitting/date-night swap with another couple for March and hope that goes smoothly so we can make it a more regular thing. Alicia and Cordelia will be traveling down to San Diego to visit with Alicia’s family for a week and have a pre-birthday celebration for Corrie.
